Standard Test Requirement

On May 23, 2024, the UNC Board of Governors approved Policy 700.1.1 revising the test score requirements for admissions. Effective Fall 2025, students with a weighted GPA between 2.5 and less than 2.8 must submit SAT or ACT scores. Students with a weighted GPA of 2.8 or higher have the option to submit these scores.

Can I still submit a standardized test score if my GPA is a weighted 2.8?

Yes. Students may also submit a standardized test score in addition to their weighted GPA for admissions evaluations.

I graduated from homeschool or non-traditional high school and cannot submit a test score. How will my application be reviewed?
